What is the "Mack Leadership Consulting?"
Mack Leadership Consulting, LLC consists of its founder, Bruce Mack, and as many associates as are needed. We carefully select and partner with a number of highly qualified consultants, trainers, and psychologists so that we can expand to meet any needs without carrying large overhead.
Bruce Mack Biography
Bruce is an experienced leader, management consultant, facilitator, executive coach and trainer. Prior to starting his own company, Bruce was a leader and manager in the military, non-profits, business and government for over twenty-five years and uses his passion and experience to help identify and solve organization and leadership issues.
His business experience includes leadership positions in the Financial Departments at Connecticut National Bank and Shawmut, numerous consulting and training projects and running his own successful business for over five years.
In addition, Bruce retired in December, 2005 as a Commander in the Naval Reserve. He held a variety of senior leadership and command positions in his six years on active duty and fourteen years in the reserves and has done work in Japan, Greece, Italy, Spain and Slovenia.
Prior to retiring, Bruce facilitated weekend-long leadership seminars for Naval Leaders all over the Southeast. His work was interrupted by six months active duty on an aircraft carrier during Operation Iraqi Freedom, when he oversaw logistics for fifteen ships and over ten thousand Sailors and Marines.
Bruce's education includes degrees from both
Dartmouth College and the Naval War College and post-graduate work
at the University of California at Berkeley, the University of
Connecticut, the New School for Social Research and the University
of North Carolina at Charlotte. He is also a graduate of the Duke University Business Coaching Certificate Program.
Currently, Bruce is pusuing his MBA at the University of North Carolina's Kenan-Flagler Business School while working full-time. He expects to graduate in June of 2010.
Bruce's charity work and community involvement has included work with the United Agenda for Children in Charlotte, the Executive Service Corps and volunteer coaching for McColl School of Business MBA students. While a resident of Mountain Lakes, New Jersey, he was both volunteer firefighter and as an elected member of the Board of Education.
Bruce's certifications include Training and Development from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and the American Society for Training and Development, Leadership Trainer/Facilitation from the US Navy, the BIG FIVE Model of Personality, VitalSmart's "Crucial Confrontations" and Building Better Boards. His professional affiliations include board membership in the Charlotte Organizational Development Network (CODNET), the Greater Orlando Organazational Development Network (GOOD) and the American Society for Training and Development (ASTD).
